Once upon a time, there was a girl named Jane. She had lots of little brothers and sisters...
It begins a sweet and unusual tale.
Innocuous. Humble.
Two pages in I'm a blubbering mess, shuffling around on my desk for a tissue. A box of them.
I wish I'd been prepared for the emotional impact waiting me between the covers of The Balloon Lady, a new book by author Kierstyn King. But who knew that something intended for the 6-to-10-year-olds in this world would affect me this way?

That's kind of how I felt when my sweet girl moved away this past year. I miss her so much. I miss bringing her coffee from starbucks to surprise her in the mornings. yeah, I still miss her.

Looks like a beautiful and touching book. :-)
I find that often children's books speak more profoundly than those written for adults!

The Balloon Lady's story and the illustrations are truly incredible!! I am so proud of the author!!!
Ooooo it looks so sweet!
Glad someone has written a story for kids in this situation. I hate the way Quiverfull, FLDS and other groups shun young adults for being, well, young adults! Questioning can also lead to STRONGER faith but those groups never seem to see it that way...........
Looks great! Please enter me in this giveaway. Thanks!
